The last few weeks have been wonky; I've been out looking after Ethan, and we've had snow days, and various other events occurring. Last semester, I used Mondays to challenge the students to photograph a particular theme or concept that I would give a brief run down on in class. So, let's give it a try today!
Today, you will be out looking for photographs that exhibit the design principles - repetition and pattern. What's repetition, what's pattern you ask? How do I shoot them? Well, it's very much what it sounds like... the consistent repeating of visual elements within the composition gives you repetition. Make slight changes in the way the elements are being repeated, and you create a motif, which gives you pattern.

Once you've taken some shots that show repetition and pattern; try to develop more interest in the shot by breaking the pattern.
