ONE REVISION TO THIS: Have your lens zoomed in, it will help to exaggerate your DOF.

For this task, you will take approximately 10 pictures at different aperture settings. The goal of this assignment is to see how your depth of field changes with different aperture settings.
1. Pick a subject.
2. Set your camera to APERTURE mode.
3. Start with the largest aperture, or the lowest number (i.e. f/3.5, or f/1.8...this all depends on the lens you are using.)
4. Take a shot of your subject at the first aperture setting. Now, take the same shot approximately 9 more times, at increasingly smaller aperture settings (i.e. f/4, f/5.0, f/5.6, right up to f/22)
NOTE: you must have enough distance between your subject and your background in order to see the difference in depth of field.
6. Post all of your images to your blog along with the ISO, shutter speed and aperture used for each.
Final thoughts: Were there difficulties in doing this assignment? What happened to your shutter speed when you went from a larger aperture setting to a smaller aperture setting? Did you have any motion blur when doing this exercise? Why do you think this happened? Post your responses along with your images to your blogs.
